Design Trends 2025 : as we head into 2025 it’s a fascinating time to consider interior design trends for the coming year.
What lighting designs might be making a comeback and which might feel overdone ? Sitting alongside these are the seamless designs that stand their ground. The classic staples of the lighting design world that appear year in year out.
Fashions can often be slow moving, sometimes just needing a simple tweak to re-fresh. The masculine Mid-Century of recent years for example is currently undergoing a bit of a ‘softening’. Clear glass globe shades being changed out for beautifully translucent alabaster shades.
Terracotta variances together with its earthy counterparts had a small resurgence in 2024. Moving towards stronger, richer paint colours is a prediction for 2025. Terracotta being flagged specifically as one of ‘colours of the year’.
The previous favour for dramatic shapes and statement embellishment, including that on lighting, looks like it is being paired back with the return of refreshed simpler designs & forms.
Bronze, coppers and brass finishes may possibly see a less prominent position in 2025. More clinical finishes such as Stainless Steel, Chrome and Nickel possibly coming back into favour and featuring more prominently on Spec Sheets.
